Meet Astra and Athena!!!

 For today’s blog post, I want to share something very special. A new addition to my family. I recently welcomed two adorable kittens into my home! These little babies were given to me just last week after their mom sadly passed away. Since then, I’ve been spending a lot of time with them, and I can honestly say they are some of the sweetest little creatures I’ve ever met. It’s been such a rewarding experience getting to know their unique personalities and watching them settle into their new environment.

The kitten on the left is named Astra. We chose the name Astra because of her striking black fur and mesmerizing blue eyes that remind us of a starry night sky. The name Astra actually comes from the Greek word “Astron,” which means “star.” It seemed like the perfect fit for her. Her personality is incredibly calm and relaxed she reminds me a lot of a sloth. All she really wants to do most of the day is cuddle, sleep, and eat. Despite her quiet nature, she has such a sweet demeanor that perfectly balances out her sister’s energy.

On the right is Athena, named after the Greek goddess of wisdom. Although Athena might not be the smartest kitten I’ve ever met, she definitely makes up for it with her humor and playful spirit. On her very first day here, she crawled up onto my shoulder and sat there like a little parrot for nearly an hour! When she’s not napping, you can usually find her chasing Astra around the house. Astra isn’t always thrilled about having such an energetic sister, but it’s fun to watch their interactions and see how they complement each other.

I find a lot of joy around animals, especially cats. My family has always had at least one cat, and over time, they have grown to be my absolute favorite animals. Cats have such diverse personalities, and each one brings something special to a home. These two kittens have already brought so much happiness and warmth into my life, and I can’t wait to see how they grow and develop in the coming months.
